Wendy R. Boswell is the holder of the Jerry and Kay Cox Endowed Chair in Business in Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She was Head of the Department of Management from 2015 until 2021. She received her BS in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno and her Masters and Ph.D. in Human Resource Studies from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. Dr. Boswell’s research, which has appeared in various scholarly journals, is focused on employee turnover and retention, job search behavior, the work-nonwork interface, and workplace conflict. She serves on the editorial boards for several leading academic journals and was an Associate Editor for Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, and Human Resource Management. Dr. Boswell also served as the 2012-13 Chair of the HR Division of the Academy of Management and is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Boswell teaches courses on human resource management at the undergraduate, graduate (masters and doctoral) and executive levels, and was the recipient of the Center for Teaching Excellence Montague Scholar Award (2004), Mays Business School Dr. Ricky W. Griffin Research Award (2012), and the Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award in Research (2017).
