Biography

As an owner and Chief Executive Officer at Paragon Financial Advisors, Jene brings over 20 years of experience in serving and advising high net worth individuals in all aspects of trust services, financial planning, and investment management. His previous career was with AT&T and Southwestern Bell Telephone in various management capacities.

Jene earned a BS from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Houston. Jene has since continued his education receiving CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST™ (CFA®), and CHARTERED ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT ANALYST™ (CAIA®) designations.

As a member of CFA® and CAIA® organizations, Jene is frequently asked to participate in activities that increase organization membership and provide services to prospective members. He has been actively involved (for the last 18 years) with the CFA Institute in various activities relating to the granting of the CFA charter. Jene has senior college teaching experience with both the University of Houston and Texas A&M University. Since 2009, Jene has been an invited Executive Professor teaching graduate courses at Texas A&M University in which students manage live portfolios with actual money. He has also co-authored two college level mathematics textbooks oriented toward business students.

Jene lives in College Station, Texas with his wife, Elizabeth, and has adult twin sons and two granddaughters. He is very involved in the community having volunteered his time with numerous civic, professional, and religious organizations.
