Application Process – Fall 2020 Entry Term

We offer multiple application deadlines, but you’re welcome to submit your application as soon as you feel it best represents your candidacy. Starting on October 1, applications will be reviewed as they are submitted to our office. All decisions are released on a rolling basis once the Admissions Committee has completed the review process. Upcoming deadlines are:

March 4, 2020 (final deadline for international candidates who would require a student visa)
April 22, 2020 (final deadline – new applications considered after this date if space is available)

If you are not a US citizen or US Permanent Resident OR if you earned a degree outside of the United States, please review this page to ensure your academic credentials are valid and to see if you may have any other requirements such as an English Language Proficiency exam. Re-applicants: If you submitted an application for the Fall 2019 entry term, you will need to create a new account with our online application system using a different email address than your 2019 application. Do not edit your previously submitted application. Re-applicants need to complete the full process as outlined above.

If you are offered admission, a $1,000 non-refundable tuition deposit will be required to reserve your seat in the class. Candidates who are selected for admission and choose to enroll will be required to complete prep work before the start of the program beginning in the spring; further information will be communicated when it is available. The program will officially begin with MBA Core; the 2020 dates are not yet available but this typically begins in mid-July.


RESUME: We do not require a specific resume format or page length; it is up to you to ensure that your resume provides a complete picture of your professional history. For each position you have held since you received your undergraduate degree, please include both the start and end date (month and year). Please also provide a location for each employer.

ESSAY QUESTIONS: All applicants must submit replies to essay questions 1 and 2. Please make sure that each reply directly addresses the essay prompt. Essay 3 is optional unless you are a re-applicant from the 2019 entry term (in that case, it is required).

GMAT OR GRE: All GMAT and GRE scores can be no more than five years old at the time you submit your online application. If you have taken the GMAT or GRE, please enter the score information into the fields in the application and upload a copy of your unofficial score report. If you have scheduled a test for a future date, please provide the exact date you plan to take the test. After the test date, please email a copy of your unofficial score report to  Official copies would only be required if you were offered admission and chose to enroll. Our GMAT code is 7B7-K9-16 and our GRE code is 5586. If you are applying through the MD Plus program, please contact for questions about tests.

EDUCATIONAL TRANSCRIPTS: We ask you to submit copies of transcripts from each post-secondary institution you have attended. Unofficial copies can be submitted via the online application at the time of applying. If your institution does not issue documents in English, you will need to submit both the institution transcript and a copy translated into English by a translation company. Official copies would only be required if you were offered admission and chose to enroll (unless you are a Texas A&M University graduate).

PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES: Please provide the names and work contact information (email and phone) for two professional references. We will contact them only if additional information is needed prior to making an admissions decision. They do not need to submit any information to us unless we contact them.

APPLICATION FEE: The application fee is $175 for US citizens and $200 for international candidates. The fee is payable via credit card in the online application system. All current and former US Military members and all students applying to one of our partnership programs are eligible for an application fee waiver upon request. Please send an email to before you submit the application so that a waiver can be applied. No refunds will be issued to candidates who qualify for this program but submit their application with a personal credit card.

EVALUATIVE INTERVIEW: After an initial review, candidates who are selected to continue the admissions process will be invited to participate in an interview with a member of the FTMBA admissions committee. Invitations are sent to selected candidates via email. There is no specific timeline as to when an invitation may be sent. Interviews are offered on campus or via Skype.

Note: Applicants who have started an MBA program at another institution or those who have earned an MBA degree (in any country) are advised to contact the admissions team in advance to confirm whether you are eligible to apply. Please provide specific details about your prior MBA education in your message to our office.
