Application Process – MS-MIS Online

ADMISSIONS REVIEWS

We utilize a rolling admissions model. Applications received by the priority deadline will be in the first batch to be evaluated. Subsequent applications will be evaluated in later batches, based on receipt date, and applicants will be considered for the remaining seats in the program at that time. Thus, meeting the priority deadline is advantageous, as more seats in the class are available at the beginning of the admissions cycle.  We continue to evaluate applications until the final application deadline or until the number of seats in the program have been filled. In order for an application to be reviewed, it must be complete.  A complete application includes receipt of the following:

  • Business CAS application
  • Application fee paid in BusinessCAS
  • Essay responses
  • Three letters of recommendation (at least one from a direct supervisor)
  • Self-reported TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores (international students only; official reports will be required if admitted)
  • WES evaluation (for applicants with undergraduate degrees from non-U.S. institutions only; see below)

At the time applications are evaluated, an applicant will be admitted, denied, or placed on our wait list. All wait-listed applications will be reevaluated in subsequent batches. After submission, the status of an application cannot be tracked in BusinessCAS.  An applicant will receive notification from our office via email when a final decision has been made on his/her application.

You’re Admitted: Now What?

Admissions Deposits

Upon notification of selection for admission, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to hold a seat in the class. This deposit will be applied to the fall tuition/fee statements of students who matriculate into the program. Individuals who ultimately do not enroll in the program will forfeit the deposit. The deposit deadline is April 15 @ 11:59 PM (CST).

Deposits can be paid via check/money order or credit card. To pay via check/money order, please make payable to Texas A&M University and send via surface mail to the MS-MIS Admissions Office. Please include your full name and TAMU UIN in the memo line. Your UIN will be provided with your admit letter.
