The Center for Human Resource Management’s (CHRM) corporate partners not only have access to some of the best business students in the country, they also have the opportunity to interact with those students. By speaking in classrooms settings, participating in CHRM events and being recognized through special campus displays, CHRM companies become top-of-mind career choices among our students. Our partners are welcome to come into the classroom and discuss current issues and hot topics. This creates win-win situations in which executives get to know students, and students stay apprised of current trends and best practices. A majority of our Masters in Human Resource Management students are hired by CHRM corporate partners. Access to high quality students and the ability to directly influence their education are two of the main reasons CHRM partners value their membership.

CHRM provides numerous opportunities to network with top HR executives and HR scholars. We host two CHRM board meetings each year–one in College Station, the other in Dallas or Houston. In addition, we host lunch-and-learn events and other networking activities throughout the year where our partners can bounce ideas off of each other. Ideas generated this way have spurred innovative changes in the way we train our students and even in how our corporate partners conduct their HR practices.

CHRM corporate partners have unique access to some of the top management scholars in the world. The faculty at Texas A&M are exploring a range of research questions to find new ways to improve the practice of HRM and enhance human capital. Research topics include understanding the importance of the composition of top management teams and how executive pay affects firm performance, as well as learning ways to reduce organizational withdrawal or how to structure work to be more engaging and fulfilling.

CHRM corporate partners have the opportunity to work closely with our faculty and create cutting-edge research to be conducted in their organizations. Partners have access to the most current thinking in the field. We provide our partners with access to a level of inquiry and quality of faculty that are unmatched among all academic institutions in the southern United States.

We recognize that every business has unique needs, so we listen carefully to each of our corporate partners to tailor our efforts and help them find answers to their most challenging HR problems. By building personal relationships with each company that supports us, we can offer customized benefits that give maximum their return on investment in Texas A&M.

Executive Education

CHRM is interested in providing innovative and impactful executive education experiences. These include quarterly learning events at Mays Business School’s CityCentre facility in Houston. In addition, the center offers professional development opportunities for HR practitioners as well as executive education seminars tailored to the needs of our corporate partners.
