Mission statement

Our mission is to be a catalyst in bringing human resource researchers and practitioners together to maximize knowledge about human capital through a combination of teaching, research and engagement with organizations.

The Center for Human Resource Management (CHRM) was founded in 1992 with the goal of being recognized as a center of excellence in HR education, research and practice. By combining highly regarded HR scholars and leading HR professionals from Fortune 500 companies with our dynamic and highly qualified master’s program students, the center has created an environment that is changing the way HR is taught and practiced.

One of the keys to our success is the CHRM Corporate Partner Board, a group of leading HR executives from various industries who meet as a group twice a year. At the board meetings, we discuss the latest issues in HRM and consider how to leverage the knowledge and suggestions of our board members to continuously improve our Master of Science in Human Resource Management Program.
