Biography

Connie Weaver is the KPMG Professor of Accounting at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Her research investigates the effects of income taxes on financing, investing, and financial reporting decisions. She has published articles in leading journals including The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, The Journal of the American Taxation Association, National Tax Journal, and Accounting Horizons. She served as an editor for The Accounting Review  from 2020-2023 and the Senior Editor of The Journal of the American Taxation Association from 2017-2020. She has served on the editorial boards of The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, The Journal of the American Taxation Association, and Issues in Accounting Education. She is a certified public accountant, holds a Ph.D. from Arizona State University, MPA from the University of Texas at Arlington, and BSChE from The University of Texas at Austin. She is the co-author of a leading textbook, Taxation of Individuals and Business Entities, now in its 15th edition., and has received numerous awards for teaching and research excellence.
