Croatia, Italy & Slovenia Financial Environment Field Trip

Are you ready for the ‘amazing race’ with Finance Professor, Sally Guyton? Travel to Croatia, Italy, and Slovenia for two weeks where you will be completely immersed in Eastern European Culture. Engage in cultural excursions throughout Dubrovnik, Split, and Zadar in Croatia before journeying to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and wrapping up your travels in Venice, Italy.  You will get to experience corporate visits to some of Mrs. Guyton’s favorite European firms including a glass factory, Elan Yachts, and more. You will also earn three credit hours of course work in European Integration & Business.

Program application deadline. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Students will be notified of program acceptance through their A&M email address.

Confirm Participation

Once acceptance email has been received, the selected participant must return to their Education Abroad Portal application and confirm their participation or withdraw their application by the CIBS deadline.

Confirmed participants must pay the $500 administrative fee accessible through Howdy. Failure to pay the deposit by the CIBS deadline indicated in the acceptance email will result in withdrawal from the program.

The remaining program charges will be billed during the fall 2021 semester and tuition for the course will be billed in January 2022. Installment plans can be utilized if enrolled before the SBS deadline.

Fall 2021

Students must apply for a passport if they do not already have one.  Processing times are currently taking 16-18 weeks for expedited service.

October 12, 2021

University-Wide Scholarship application deadline for winter programs (applications open on September 10, 2021). Visit to apply to all eligible scholarships.

If your FAFSA is current, you may request an Education Abroad Financial Aid Request Form from CIBS and meet with the Scholarships & Financial Aid office to request financial aid for the program.

January 2022

Ensure you are enrolled in corresponding course by the first week of classes.

Spring 2022

Participate in on-campus lecture and attend pre-departure meetings to prepare for field trip to Eastern Europe.

May 2022

Depart for Eastern Europe! Explore the European business, cultural, and political environment through guest lectures, corporate visits, and cultural excursions within Croatia, Italy, and Slovenia.
