Note: most program costs will be due the term before your study abroad program. Scholarships and financial aid are typically awarded during the course term (while abroad). Please identify alternate funding sources in the prior term(s) to pay expenses associated with your program.

CIBS Scholarships

  • INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP Scholarship
    • Deadline: April 15
    • Eligibility Requirements: Mays Business Student, 3.0 GPA; Internship may be (a) overseas, or (b) with an international organization (e.g. U.S. State Department, The World Bank, United Nations, etc.); must be a minimum of six-weeks duration; must be credit bearing (enrolled in IBUS 484 or IBUS 684)

  • UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
    -International Education Fee Scholarship (Merit-based)
    -Study Abroad Fellowship (Need-based, must have a FAFSA on file)
    Deadlines:Summer – February 1
    Fall & Academic Year – April 1
    Winter & Spring – October 12

    • Go to the Affording Study Abroad presentation and ask a study abroad advisor questions you have about funding your trip. The spring 2019 “Affording Study Abroad” workshops will be in the Pavilion, room 236 during the following times:
      • February  6, 2019 – 11:30 am – 12:30 pm ​
      • March 21, 2019 – 10:00 am – 11:00 am
      • April 16, 2019 – 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

George Bush Foundation Travel Grants

The George Bush Foundation provides annual travel grants to undergraduate and graduate students from each of the academic colleges at Texas A&M University for various educational opportunities. These grants facilitate student travel connected with their research topics (attending academic conferences, research projects or study, or internships in the United States or abroad). Students should contact their academic departments for more information. Click here for department information. Fill out form and return to CIBS Office (230 Wehner) by November 10, 2018.
